Every month, we pick one from among our collection of digital patterns to feature! Here, you can find not only the pattern, but in-stock yarns that we suggest and some tools you might like as well.

February's Pattern of the Month is the truly magnificent Heart of The Atlantic Shawl by Rachy Newin Designs! This was the very first project we ever collaborated on, and it's truly stood the test of time. It's perfect for those lone fingering-weight skeins - the one shown in the photo used only 1 skein of Bass Line in Go Your Own way! It crochets up quickly and I cannot even start to tell you how many compliments these samples have received over the years.
About The Pattern, In The Designer's Words
Named for the soothing strength of the waves at a Jersey beach, the Heart of the Atlantic combines a neatly geometric mesh with a soft ripple-like edging. The merino offers the shawl a strength found in the ocean’s depths while the alpaca softens the edges and evokes thoughts of an ocean spray.
The Heart of the Atlantic Shawl is open and lacy yet still warm and soft thanks to the alpaca/merino blend that is Duet. Pattern includes detailed written instructions for every row, plus instructions for adding repeats to make the shawl larger.
