About The Pattern, In The Designer's Words

"The Great Wave off Kanagawa” is, arguably, the best known piece made by master Japanese print maker Hokusai Katsushika. The woodcut shows the rough, foaming waters of the sea tossing the small boats of fisherman as they make their way through rough waters.

This 2 color brioche shawl mimics the wave shape of the rough seas in the famous woodcut. The triangular shape is slightly curved to better wrap around your body and has an easy motif along the side and end. The size of your wave is fully adjustable and can be created in any weight yarn. The pattern document contains a chart for different yarn weights and the needle sized to make the fabric density and drape desired.

A series of videos for the brioche pattern can be found on my
Brioche Knit Tips YouTube Playlist.
