About This Color
I don't get much in the way of the Sunday Scaries anymore (one of the perks of working for yourself) but Sunday nights were a weekly battle at my old Awful Job. I'd be stressed, sleep really poorly, and wake up kind of numb on Monday morning.

It's hard to describe, but sometimes when colors come out of the dyepots they evoke really strong déjà vu moments for me. Well, really it's less déjà vu (already seen) than it is déjà ressenti (already felt). When I saw this color hanging up to try, I was right back there, on a numb Monday morning, staring at my shoes, trying to get myself to put them on so I could go to work.

But I also LOVED the color. It's SO PRETTY, and right on that line between neutral and jewel tone. Like a perfectly comfy pair of blue jeans, I can see it going with literally anything in my wardrobe. I made the choice then and there to not let this color take me to a bad place, but to a good one: a place of cozy sweaters, a mug of tea, a fresh cookie, and woolly socks.
